Safran’s New Aircraft Engine Complex in Nouaceur Bolsters Morocco’s Aerospace Ambitions

Nouaceur: A new aircraft engine complex launched in Nouaceur by Safran is set to strengthen Morocco’s standing among emerging aerospace powers. The construction of the complex was inaugurated by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, highlighting Morocco’s strategic economic direction that intertwines advanced industry with youth employment.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, this development marks a significant phase in Morocco’s industrial growth, with the country poised to become the world’s second-largest producer of LEAP aircraft engines. The initiative signifies Morocco’s deeper integration into global aviation value chains, attracting attention from industry leaders such as Safran, Boeing, and Airbus, who now consider the Kingdom a key technological partner rather than just a manufacturing hub.

The report from the British portal emphasizes that this progress reflects two decades of meticulous industrial planning. Numerous industrial zones have been established across Morocco, aligning youth skills, infrastructure, and international collaborations to foster inclusive industrialization.

Morocco’s aerospace capabilities are now among the few globally that can host advanced technological production complexes. This sector not only creates jobs but also drives innovation, positioning Morocco as a robust player in European and British supply chains. The Kingdom’s economic progress, particularly in infrastructure investments, has been significant.

Such advancements have positively impacted Morocco’s sovereign rating and economic growth prospects, as noted by the portal, reinforcing the country’s position on the global stage.
