El Tarf: President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, arrived at the seawater desalination plant “Koudiet Eddraouche” in the commune of Berrihane, province of El Tarf.
According to Algeria Press Service, during his visit, President Tebboune was briefed on the technical aspects of the plant’s construction phases and the challenges faced by Algerian experts during the execution of this strategic project. The “Koudiet Eddraouche” plant stands as one of the largest in the country with a production capacity of 300,000 cubic meters per day, making it the third largest desalination plant in Algeria.
President Tebboune’s visit to El Tarf follows his recent engagements in other provinces, where he has been focused on expanding Algeria’s desalination capabilities. Last Saturday, he visited the province of Tipaza to inaugurate the ‘Fouka 2’ seawater desalination plant. Prior to that, on Thursday, he inaugurated the Cap Blanc desalination plant in Ain Kerma, located in the province of Oran.
