Algiers: Sonatrach group signed on, Tuesday, in Algiers, an agreement with the Chinese company Sinopec, worth an estimated USD850 million, for the exploration and exploitation of Hassi Berkane-North (HBAN) field, located between the two provinces of Ouargla and El-Meniaa.
According to Algeria Press Service, this strategic partnership aims to enhance the hydrocarbon production capacity in the Hassi Berkane-North region. The collaboration is expected to drive significant advancements in both exploration and exploitation activities, contributing to the energy sector’s development in the area. The agreement underscores the ongoing cooperation between Algeria and China in the energy domain, reflecting a mutual interest in bolstering hydrocarbon production capabilities.
