President Tebboune Explores Innovations at Algeria Production Fair

Algiers: President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune visited several pavilions at the Algeria Production Fair, marking the opening of its 33rd edition at the Exhibition Centre of Algiers. The President inaugurated the “Palestine Pavilion” and received a briefing from Karim Boukadoum, Director General of the Algerian Company for Exhibitions and Exports (SAFEX).

According to Algeria Press Service, President Tebboune attended a presentation by Minister of Domestic Trade and National Market Regulation Amel Abdellatif, focusing on the economic landscape and the performance of economic operators in goods and services production. Following this, he toured the Ministry of National Defence pavilion, where he learned about developments in military manufacturing, including combat vehicles, weapons systems, and drones.

The President also explored the pavilion of Khenchela’s Mechanical Construction Corporation, which specializes in light weapons manufacturing. There, he viewed the latest products, including the semi-
automatic pump-action rifle. At the Central Supply Base of the First Military Region, Tebboune received briefings on battery production and energy technologies.

Additionally, President Tebboune visited the Vehicle Equipment Renewal Corporation pavilion, where he learned about the growth in refrigeration unit production. At the pharmaceutical industry pavilion, he was briefed on the operations of the LDM pharmaceutical manufacturing group and its hormone drug manufacturing facility, developed through an Algerian-German partnership.

At the National Biotechnology Research Centre of Constantine, President Tebboune attended a presentation on agricultural contributions, including tissue culture techniques for new fruits like bananas. He also explored the Giplait Group pavilion, discussing the group’s strategy to enhance domestic production.

In the Agrodiv food industries group pavilion, the President learned about the group’s performance and new facilities. Furthermore, he visited the Tosyali-Algeria iron and st
eel group’s pavilion, receiving updates on projects in Gara Djebilet and Bechar. Lastly, he explored the Ceram Decor pavilion, noting its employment of over 2,000 workers and export reach to more than 25 countries.
