President Tebboune Engages in High-Level Discussions with Italian President in Rome

Rome: President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of Algeria engaged in a one-on-one meeting with Italian President Sergio Mattarella in Rome. This meeting is a significant part of President Tebboune’s official visit to Italy, a nation regarded as a friendly counterpart to Algeria.

According to Algeria Press Service, President Tebboune was formally welcomed by President Mattarella at the Quirinal presidential palace, adhering to Italian ceremonial traditions. The welcoming ceremony included the playing of national anthems of both Algeria and Italy, followed by the review of the Italian Republican Guard, who paid honors to the two leaders.

President Tebboune arrived in Rome on Tuesday evening, accompanied by a notable delegation, to conduct an official visit to the Italian Republic. During his stay, he is set to chair the 5th High-Level Algerian-Italian Intergovernmental Summit from the Algerian side. This visit is particularly crucial for bolstering the historical friendship and enhancing bilateral relations across various sectors between Algeria and Italy.
