Cherchell: President of the Republic, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, arrived at the ‘Houari-Boumediene’ Military Academy in Cherchell, Tipaza, to preside over the graduation ceremony of officer classes for the year 2025. The ceremony honors the late mujahid and general ‘Hocine Benhadid.’
According to Algeria Press Service, upon his arrival, President Tebboune was received by several high-ranking officials, including the deputy minister to the Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (PNA), General Saïd Chanegriha, Lieutenant General Mostefa Smaali, Commander of Land Forces, Major General Ali Sidane, Commander of the first Military Region, and Major General Salmi Bacha, Commander of the Academy.
The President reviewed a detachment of the PNA as they rendered honors and listened to the national anthem. As part of the ceremony, President Tebboune paid tribute to the memory of the late president Houari Boumediene, for
whom the Military Academy is named. He laid a wreath of flowers before the commemorative stele and recited the Fatiha of the Holy Quran in honor of Boumediene’s soul.
