Cherchell Military Academy Graduation Ceremony Presided by President Tebboune

Cherchell: The President of the Republic, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, chaired a graduation ceremony at the ‘Houari-Boumediene’ Military Academy in Cherchell, Tipaza. The ceremony honored officer classes named after the late mujahid and general Hocine Benhadid.

According to Algeria Press Service, the event was attended by high-ranking state officials and senior officers of the People’s National Army (PNA). Upon his arrival at the Academy, President Tebboune was greeted by the deputy minister to the Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of the PNA, General Sad Chanegriha, Lieutenant General to the Commander of Land Forces, Mostefa Smaali, the Commander of the first Military Region, Major General Ali Sidane, and the commander of the Academy, Major General Salmi Bacha.

During the ceremony, President Tebboune was briefed on the Academy’s training program in the ceremonial hall. He then presided over the annual graduation ceremony for officer classes, which included the 56th class of active officer cadets in fundamental training, the 18th class in common basic military training, and the 9th class of Master’s degree officers.

The President also reviewed a detachment of the PNA, which rendered him honors, and listened to the national anthem. He paid tribute to the late president Houari Boumediene, in whose honor the Military Academy is named, by laying a wreath of flowers before the commemorative stele and reciting the Fatiha of the Holy Quran.
