President Tebboune Appoints New Government Members in Algeria

Algiers: The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, appointed the members of the new government led by Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb, announced the official spokesperson for the Presidency of the Republic, Samir Aggoune.

According to Algeria Press Service, the newly appointed government members include Ahmed Attaf as Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, and Sad Chanegriha as Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army. Mohamed Arkab has been named Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines, while Brahim Merad will serve as Minister of State, in charge of Inspection of State Services and Local Authorities.

Other significant appointments include Sad Sayoud as Minister of Interior, Local Authorities and Transport, Lotfi Boudjemaa as Minister of Justice, and Abdelkrim Bouzerd as Minister of Finance. The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research will be headed by Kamel Baddari, while Mohamed Seghir Saadaoui takes on the role of Minister of National Education.

In the health sector, Mohamed Esseddik Ait Messaoudene has been appointed as Minister of Health. The Ministry of Industry will be led by Yahia Bachir, with Ouacim Kouidri heading the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry.

Other appointments include Yacine ElMahdi Oualid as Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, and Mourad Adjal as Minister of Energy and Renewable Energy. Kamel Rezig has been appointed as Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, and Amel Abdellatif as Minister of Domestic Trade and National Market Regulation.

Additionally, several new ministers have been appointed to oversee housing, religious affairs, culture, youth, telecommunications, and other key areas. These appointments reflect President Tebboune’s vision for a government that addresses diverse sectors and priorities.
