Algiers: The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, paid tribute at the Martyrs’ Sanctuary in Algiers to honor the martyrs of the National Liberation War, marking the 71st anniversary of the Revolution’s outbreak on November 1, 1954.
According to Algeria Press Service, the President laid a wreath at the commemorative stele and recited al-Fatiha, the opening chapter of the Quran, in memory of those who lost their lives during the National Liberation War.
The ceremony was attended by the top officials of the State and members of the Government, highlighting the significance of the event in commemorating the historical struggle for Algeria’s independence.
