Morocco, Saudi Arabia Reaffirm Willingness to Strengthen Industrial & Trade Partnership

Rabat: In a statement to the press following his talks with Al-Falih, Mezzour underlined that this meeting falls within the framework of implementing the strategic and fraternal partnership uniting Morocco and Saudi Arabia under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the relations between the two Kingdoms are distinguished by their strong economic, trade, and investment dimension, noted the Minister, recalling that Saudi Arabia is Morocco’s leading partner in the Arab world and one of its major investors.

Mezzour stated that the Saudi Minister’s visit aims to consolidate the industrial partnership between the two countries, boost Saudi investments in Morocco, promote Moroccan exports to the Saudi market, and create more job opportunities for young people by supporting national production capacities.

For his part, Al-Falih stressed that his visit reflects the shared determination to give new momentum to Morocco-Saudi Arabia economic cooperation, noting that his country ranks among the main investors in Morocco, particularly in the field of renewable energy.

The Saudi Minister also announced the signing, on the occasion of this visit, of a “historic” agreement on the promotion and reciprocal protection of investments between the two Kingdoms. The objective is to strengthen investor confidence and ensure an attractive framework for financing and cooperation in supply chains and strategic industries, particularly the automotive, mining, and phosphate sectors.
