General Sad Chanegriha Explores Aerospace and Defence Cooperation During Republic of Korea Visit

Daejeon: General Sad Chanegriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence and Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (PNA), visited on Wednesday, during the fourth day of his visit to the Republic of Korea, the “Satrec Initiative” and “Hanwha Aerospace” companies, the Ministry of National Defence said in a press release.

According to Algeria Press Service, during his official visit to the Republic of Korea at the invitation of the Korean Defence Minister, General Sad Chanegriha, along with his delegation, toured the Satrec Initiative and Hanwha Aerospace plants in the city of Daejeon. The visit aimed to explore industrial and technological capabilities and examine potential cooperation opportunities in the aerospace and defence sectors.

The first stop was at Satrec Initiative, a company specializing in the aerospace industry. The General observed the company’s technological capabilities, particularly in satellite systems, navigation satellite development, and AI-powered solutions for satellite imagery analysis. This visit allowed him to explore the company’s industrial capabilities and discuss avenues for bilateral cooperation in technical expertise exchange, technical training, and technology transfer.

The General then proceeded to Hanwha Aerospace headquarters, where he received detailed briefings on the company’s capabilities in aviation, aerospace, defence, and electronic defence systems. Hanwha Aerospace is recognized for its work on space launch vehicles, artillery systems, armored vehicles, and missiles, and has expanded its production to include naval systems and engines for ships and submarines.

The General expressed admiration for the advanced technological equipment and the skilled human resources, as noted in the press release. Officials from the Korean companies expressed their interest in exploring partnership opportunities with Algeria, the ministry’s press release concluded.
