New york: Congressman Joe Wilson expressed appreciation for the long-standing cooperation and friendship between Morocco and the United States. “In America, we always appreciate that the very first country that recognized the existence of the United States of America was the Kingdom of Morocco,” Wilson stated following his meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, at the 80th UN General Assembly.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Congressman Wilson emphasized the historical cooperation between the two nations, which has lasted for over two and a half centuries. He affirmed that this collaboration will continue, recognizing Morocco’s geostrategic importance as a historic ally of the United States.
Wilson also reiterated America’s steadfast support for Morocco’s sovereignty, stability, and prosperity, underscoring the deep-rooted ties between the two countries.
