Algiers: The delegation of the “Algeria-Tunisia” friendship group was received in Tunis by the Speaker of the Assembly of the Representatives of the People of Tunisia, Ibrahim Bouderbala, the People’s National Assembly (Parliament’s lower house) said Tuesday in a statement.
According to Algeria Press Service, the Tunisian parliament speaker emphasized that the visit would “strengthen bilateral ties more deeply and broadly, in line with the political will of both countries’ leaders.” Bouderbala also discussed the trilateral agreement among the leaders of Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya, reiterating his country’s aspiration that this agreement would “bring renewed momentum to cooperation among southern Mediterranean countries.”
The Tunisian speaker also asked the friendship group delegation to convey his regards to the Speaker of Algeria’s lower house, Brahim Boughali, expressing his appreciation for the “complete harmony and highly distinguished relations between the two countries.”
For his part, the head of the friendship group, Mohamed Hadi Tebessi, conveyed the greetings of Boughali to his Tunisian counterpart, emphasizing the group’s commitment to “enhancing parliamentary cooperation within the frameworks and mechanisms in which the friendship group represents one of the most important pillars.”
