Annaba: The Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ACNOA) honored the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, by awarding him the gold medal, in recognition of his support for the success of the first African School Games, organized in Algeria from July 26 to August 5, during the closing ceremony on Tuesday evening, at the May 19 stadium in Annaba.
According to Algeria Press Service, the distinction was received by the Minister of Sports, Walid Sadi, the Minister of National Education, Mohamed Seghir Sadaoui, as well as the Minister of Youth in charge of the Higher Council for Youth, Mustapha Hidaoui.
The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, was honored by ACNOA, on behalf of the African Olympic movement, in recognition of his support in making this inaugural edition successful as well as his decision to relaunch school sports in order to valorize young talents.
In this respect, the officials of the African body expressed their deep gratitude and thanks to the President
of the Republic for the particular attention he gives to supporting young African sports talents, emphasizing that this edition enabled to establish in Algeria a solid base for their ongoing training and accompaniment, so that they become rising stars who will make Africa proud.
