Algiers: The president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, arrived Monday afternoon at the Palace of Exhibition of Algiers to open the 56th Algiers International Fair, which is being held under the theme “For Mutual and Sustainable Cooperation.”
According to Algeria Press Service, President Tebboune commenced his visit at the stand of the Sultanate of Oman, which is this year’s guest of honour. He was accompanied by several high-profile officials, including the deputy minister to the minister of National Defence, Chief of staff of the People’s National Army, General Sad Chanegriha, Oman’s minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, and other members of the government.
The selection of the Sultanate of Oman as the guest of honour signifies the dynamic relations between Algeria and Oman. This follows recent exchanges between the leaders of the two countries, which have resulted in the signing of multiple cooperation agreements.
