Algiers: Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui stated Tuesday that President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has set forth a multi-dimensional strategic vision for development, focusing on economic transformation, social justice, and sustainable development.
According to Algeria Press Service, this vision is part of President Tebboune’s comprehensive and ambitious reform program, which includes significant structuring projects and support for investment and a wealth-creating economy. The Prime Minister made these remarks during the installation ceremony of Mohamed Boukhari as the new head of the National Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CNESE), succeeding Rabea Kharfi.
Prime Minister Larbaoui highlighted that the vision is centered on promoting national production and exports, continuing the transition to a knowledge-based economy, fostering innovation and digitization, while maintaining the social nature of the State. He emphasized that this deep and inclusive strategic vision necessitates the concerted efforts of
all participants, including CNESE as a pivotal platform for scientific debate, dialogue, and the formulation of constructive proposals.
With its consultative status and diverse membership, rich in expertise from various scientific, economic, social, and environmental fields, CNESE is intended to support the ongoing profound changes in Algeria. It aims to present proposals and recommendations for enhancing public policies and assist the government in building a diversified, competitive, and integrated economy that relies not only on conventional resources but also on knowledge, innovation, and the spirit of initiative, according to the Prime Minister’s address.
During his speech at the ceremony held at CNESE headquarters, Larbaoui underscored the President’s interest in this constitutional institution with a consultative role.
