Performance contracts will be concluded from next July between the Ministry of Finance and the various sectoral directorates as part of the sector’s reforms aiming at developing banking, tax and budgetary systems, announced on Sunday in Algiers Minister of the sector, Laaziz Faid.
“As part of the implementation of the instructions of President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on the modernisation of our national system of major risk prevention, the Ministry of Interior is working on a comprehensive revision of its legislative base, through a new legal to be submitted soon to the Government, aiming at the adaptation of the national strategy of major risk management,” said Merad.
This law “will allow the prevention and intervention mechanisms to be defined by identifying the consequences of each risk, in addition to the level of fragility of the infrastructure and the environment within the framework of sustainable national development,” he said.
Given the importance of scientific tools in increasing the level of fight against major risks, the ministry’s services are also working on “the setting up of a national scientific research and technological development programme dedicated to earthquake risk management at the CRAAG,” Merad added.
