ALGIERS- The huge wave of solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza, victims of genocides and war crimes by the Zionist occupation army, spread Thursday throughout Algeria through large-scale rallies and marches.
Several political parties and civil society organizations had called on the Algerian people to stage rallies and marches in support of the resistance of the Palestinian people in the face of the war crimes and the genocides committed by the Zionist occupation army, and to express the unchanging positions of Algeria, government and people, towards the Palestinian cause.
In response to the calls, large-scale rallies and marches were organized in Algiers and the other Algerian provinces, drawing huge crowds of people (men, women, youths and children), in support and solidarity with the Palestinian people.
The demonstrators strongly condemned the inhumanity and barbarity displayed by the Zionist occupation army, shouting slogans like “No to the Zionist aggression against Gaza,” and “No to the killing of innocent civilians.”
In the country’s west, tens of thousands of people staged huge demonstrations in Oran, Tlemcen, Sidi Bel Abbes, Relizane, Ain Temouchent and other western cities.
The protesters waved the Algerian and the Palestinian flags, shouting slogans in support of the Palestinian people and their just cause.
The same spirit of solidarity was reported in the country’s east as massive protests were staged.
The demonstrators displayed signs and shouted slogans in support of the Palestinian people, condemning the war against Palestine and the war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by the Zionist occupation army against the Palestinian people.
In the country’s south, demonstrators in many towns and cities expressed solidarity with the Palestinian cause, condemning the massacres and the genocides targeting innocent civilians in Gaza for nearly a couple of weeks.
The protestors urged the international community to immediately intervene to put an end to the savagery and barbarity of the Zionists against Palestinian defenseless civilians, including children.
