Rabat: Akhannouch was accompanied in this conference, held on the sidelines of the 80th UN General Assembly, by Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and the Kingdom’s ambassador and permanent representative to the UN, Omar Hilale.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the conference aimed at reaffirming international commitments for the two-state solution and to mobilize the required support for its implementation. This event was co-chaired by French President, Emmanuel Macron, and Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saoud.
The high-level meeting saw the participation of representatives from several UN member states, as well as UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and General Assembly President Annalena Baerbock.
