ALGIERS- The Tosyali steel group plans to launch a production line for rolled flat products in the 2nd half of 2024, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production on Sunday.
The announcement was made during a meeting granted by the Minister for the sector, Ali Aoun, to the CEO of the Tosyali Group, based in Oran.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the Group’s current projects and its future goals, particularly in terms of boosting production, and having access to foreign markets.
During the meeting, the Group’s CEO, Alp Topcuoglu, gave a presentation on the project to expand and diversify products through the manufacture of laminated plates, with the production line due to come on stream in the 2nd half of 2024. The number of workers will reach 6,500, according to the Ministry’s statement.
