Terrorist Surrenders to Military Authorities in Bordj Badji Mokhtar

Bordj badji mokhtar: A terrorist named Mohamed Talbi, also known as Khoubeib, who has been part of terrorist groups operating abroad since 2017, has surrendered to military authorities in Bordj Badji Mokhtar, according to a statement by the People’s National Army (PNA) released on Wednesday.

According to Algeria Press Service, the surrender is part of the ongoing efforts by the PNA to combat terrorism and organized crime. The PNA has conducted several operations between October 1st and 7th, 2025, showcasing the professionalism, vigilance, and readiness of the Armed Forces across the nation. The statement highlighted the significance of these operations, emphasizing the continuous fight against terrorism.

The statement detailed that Mohamed Talbi surrendered in the 6th Military Region, equipped with a semi-automatic repeating rifle, a quantity of ammunition, and other items. This event underscores the PNA’s commitment to maintaining national security and order.

In addition to the fight against terrorism, the PNA is actively working to combat drug trafficking in Algeria. The statement noted that combined Army units, in coordination with various security services, intercepted 53 drug traffickers in a series of operations conducted across military regions. These efforts also led to the prevention of smuggling seven quintals and 86 kg of cannabis through the Moroccan border, and the seizure of two kilograms of cocaine and 232,600 psychotropic tablets.
