Algiers: Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and Transport, Said Sayoud, chaired a management meeting at the Government Palace with his department’s executives. The meeting focused on monitoring the effects of the recent bad weather and exploring preventive measures against floods, as well as reviewing progress on the presidential decision to create the airline company Domestic Airlines, the ministry said in a statement.
According to Algeria Press Service, the discussions aimed at evaluating the impact of severe weather conditions that have recently affected the region. The ministry is prioritizing the development of strategies to prevent future flood-related damage and enhance the response mechanisms to such natural disasters.
Furthermore, the meeting addressed the advancement of plans to establish Domestic Airlines, a new airline company intended to improve regional connectivity and transportation infrastructure. The development of this airline is a significant step towards fulfilling a presidential directive aimed at bolstering the country’s aviation sector.
