Saudi Crown Prince: Palestine will always be central cause for Arabs

Palestine will always be the central cause for Arabs, said Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the President of the 32nd Arab Summit.

This came during the Saudi Crown Prince’s speech at the 32nd Arab Summit.

Prince Mohammad bin Salman also said, “We assure friendly countries in the East and West that we are moving forward in peace,” stressing, “We will not allow our region to turn into a zone of conflict.” The Saudi Crown Prince welcomed the presence of Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, hoping that Syria’s return to the Arab League will be an end to its crisis.

He noted that the Kingdom welcomed the signing of the Jeddah Declaration by the two parties to the conflict in Sudan, expressing hope that the Jeddah talks would reach an effective cease-fire in Sudan.

Prince Mohammad bin Salman reaffirmed the Kingdom’s position in support of everything that contributes to reducing the severity of the crisis in Ukraine, the non-deterioration of the humanitarian situation, and the Kingdom’s willingness to continue mediation efforts between the Russian Federation and Ukraine.

In turn, Arab League Secretary-General Ahmad Aboul Gheit urged to use this opportunity to find a solution to the Syrian crisis.

He also welcomed the agreement between Saudi Arabia and Iran, saying that the world is going through a tough period that requires Arab coordination and solidarity to face all challenges.

Moreover, he pointed out that the reckless Israeli practices have led to a significant escalation of violence in the occupied territories, stressing “the need to confront the actions of the occupation government, which is steeped in extremism and hatred.

For his part, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy started his speech by thanking the Kingdom for hosting this summit, stressing that peace and just all that his country is seeking.

Zelenskyy also went on calling the Arab leaders to support Ukraine and end the suffering of its people.
