President Tebboune starts working, inspection visit to Djelfa

DJELFA (Algeria)- The president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, started Sunday a working and inspection visit to Djelfa (275-km south of Algiers), in which he will inaugurate and inspect several large-scale development projects.

The president of the Republic will first inaugurate a railway station in the province’s chief town, as part of the Boughezoul-Laghouat railway project, will inspect this major infrastructure and listen to a comprehensive presentation of the project, which is likely to give a fresh impetus to the development efforts in the region.

President Tebboune will afterwards kick off an afforestation operation of 400,000 hectare, as part of the revival of a green dam project.

The third stage of the president’s inspection visit is the opening of a cancer centre, a project completed and delivered in July while the deadline was set for March

2024.

In higher education, the province will have its first the Faculty of Medicine, with a capacity of nearly 100 educational spaces.

After the inauguration of the university, the president of the Republic will listen to presentations on the province’s complementary development programme.

President Tebboune will have a meeting with civil society members during which he will listen to their concerns, proposals, and aspirations regarding many sectors.
