President Tebboune Explores Economic and Cultural Ties During State Visit to Slovenia

Ljubljana: The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, continues his State visit to the Republic of Slovenia, following an invitation from Slovenian President Natasa Pirc Musar. As part of the visit, President Tebboune is scheduled to explore various tourist sites, horse breeding facilities, and a company specializing in the space industry and artificial intelligence (AI).

According to Algeria Press Service, the visit’s agenda was bustling with activities on Tuesday. President Tebboune engaged in one-on-one discussions with President Pirc Musar and held talks with Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob. These discussions culminated in the signing of a joint declaration between Algeria and Slovenia, alongside several agreements and memorandums of understanding in strategic sectors.

President Tebboune’s itinerary also included a meeting with the Speaker of the National Assembly of Slovenia, Urska Klakocar Zupancic. Together with his Slovenian counterpart, he co-chaired the opening of the Algeria-Slovenia Economic Forum. During this forum, President Tebboune urged Algerian and Slovenian business leaders to enhance bilateral economic and commercial relations, aligning them with the strong political ties between the two nations.

President Tebboune arrived in Ljubljana on Monday, leading a prominent ministerial delegation. The delegation includes key figures such as Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mohamed Arkab, Minister of State, Minister of Energy, Mines and Renewable Energy, Sifi Ghrieb, Minister of Industry, Youcef Cherfa, Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, Noureddine Ouadah, Minister of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-enterprises, and Houria Meddahi, Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts.

The delegation is further strengthened by the presence of Omar Rekkache, Director General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI), along with numerous heads of public enterprises from various sectors and businessmen.
