Algiers: President Tebboune recently received a phone call from his Egyptian counterpart, where the two leaders engaged in discussions emphasizing the profound bilateral ties between Algeria and Egypt. These ties are deeply rooted in the shared historical struggle of their peoples, states, and leaders in the service of the Arab and Muslim Nation.
According to Algeria Press Service, the conversation also led to an agreement to intensify the relationship between the two countries, expanding cooperation across all levels. The presidents agreed to convene the next session of the Algerian-Egyptian High Joint Commission as soon as possible and to plan high-level reciprocal visits. This move aims to further consolidate their shared values and serve their common interests.
Moreover, President Tebboune extended his congratulations to the Egyptian President on Egypt’s election to lead the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). He praised this achievement as a renewed recognition of Egypt’s status as a great nation with a millenary culture, emphasizing that Egypt’s leadership of the UN organization will be beneficial to the entire international community.
