This day marks the pivotal role Algerian immigrants played in the Liberation Revolution, a seven-year armed struggle that garnered global support for its fight against colonial oppression.
According to Algeria Press Service, President Tebboune condemned the actions of the colonial regime during this period, particularly the violence orchestrated by Paris police under Police Prefect Maurice Papon. These actions included an arbitrary curfew and brutal repression of peaceful demonstrators, leading to a tragic massacre along the Seine River. President Tebboune highlighted the importance of remembering these sacrifices made by Algerians abroad.
President Tebboune also paid tribute to the freedom fighters and martyrs who perished during the liberation war, and he extended his greetings to the Algerian community worldwide. He acknowledged their contributi
