Johannesburg: In a speech delivered on his behalf by Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb at the G20 Summit, President Tebboune emphasized the pressing need for a resolution to the debt challenges faced by developing and poorest countries. He advocated for solutions such as partial debt write-offs or converting debt into direct and sustainable investments in these nations.
According to Algeria Press Service, President Tebboune also underscored Algeria’s support for the reform of international financial organizations. He highlighted the importance of revising decision-making processes to ensure fair and transparent representation for developing countries and the African continent in these institutions’ governing bodies.
