President Tebboune Announces Key Judicial Reshuffle Across Algerian Courts

Algiers: President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has conducted a partial reshuffle among court presidents and attorney generals at the courts of justice, according to a statement issued by the Presidency of the Republic on Tuesday.

According to Algeria Press Service, this reshuffle is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution, notably Articles 92 and 181, and Article 49 of the organic law governing the judiciary. The changes include the transfer of one court president and three attorney generals, the promotion of thirteen judges to the position of court president or attorney general, and the termination of duties for eight court presidents and four attorney generals.

The reshuffle details the new appointments and reassignments at various courts. Notably, Yakoubi Youcef has been appointed to the Court of Justice of Sétif, Ouazene Abdelhamid to Skikda, and Bouhamidi Nadia to Médéa. Other significant appointments include Marouf Larbi to Mostaganem and Mehira Hacène to M’sila.

In addition, the reshuffle features key appointments for attorney generals. Benbelkacem Moncef is assigned to the Court of Justice of Batna, while Bendaas Fayçal takes charge at Bouira. The Court of Justice of Algiers will see Benboudiaf Mohamed El Kamel as its attorney general, and Messaoudi Tahar has been appointed to Skikda.

This reshuffle reflects an ongoing effort to ensure the effective administration of justice across the country’s judicial system.
