Algiers: Abdelmadjid Tebboune hosted a ceremony on Wednesday in Algiers to honor Algerian athletes who secured medals at the World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi, the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, and the Arab Basketball Cup in Bahrain, as well as the national football team, which qualified for the 2026 World Cup.
According to Algeria Press Service, the ceremony took place at the People’s Palace, in the presence of senior state officials, government members, senior executives, and representatives of the sporting community.
At the end of the ceremony, President Tebboune took a group photo with the honored Algerian athletes.
