Algiers: President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, conducted on Tuesday a partial reshuffle among Governors and Deputy Governors, pursuant to Article 92 of the Constitution, as stated in an official communiqué from the Presidency of the Republic.
According to Algeria Press Service, several governors were relieved of their duties, including Aissa Aissat of Oum El Bouaghi, Amar Ali Bensa of Djelfa, and Farid Mohamedi of Mascara, among others. Houria Meddahi, formerly the Governor of Skikda, has been reassigned to other responsibilities. In addition, the communiqué listed the reassignment of several governors to new postings across various provinces. Ali Bouguerra has been transferred from Tiaret to Adrar, while Saïd Khalil moves from Tébessa to Tiaret.
The communiqué also announced the appointment of new governors. Notable among them are Fouad Aissi for Mascara, Ahcene Khaldi for Illizi, and Salim Harizi for Khenchela. Alongside the reshuffle of governors, there were changes in the positions of deput
y governors. Ouassila Bouchachi and Abderrahmane Rahmani have been relieved, with Khadidja Sifi being transferred within the administrative districts. Newly appointed deputy governors include Sadek Hadjar for Bir Mourad Raïs in Algiers and Bouzid Nour Essadat for Draa Errich in Annaba.
