President of the Republic, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of the National Defense Abdelmadjid Tebboune arrived on Saturday afternoon at the National Circle of the Army in Beni Messous, Algiers, where he will chair an awarding ceremony marking the National Day of the People’s National Army.
Upon his arrival at the National Circle of the Army, the President of the Republic was welcomed by the Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, General Said Chanegriha.
After listening to the national anthem, the President of the Republic reviewed detachments of the different military forces who gave him the honors before greeting the senior officers of the People’s National Army.
The National Army Day, celebrated every year on 4 August, was instituted by the President of the Republic in enshrinement of the glories of the People’s National Army, worthy heir to the National Liberation Army (ALN).
