Manama, Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, met with Menna Fish Farming Company board, headed chairperson Dr. Mona Rashid Al Zayani. The meeting reviewed the fish farming project implemented by the company at the National Aquaculture Centre in Ras Hayyan. Al Mubarak said the ministry continues to expand projects supporting food security by offering an investment voucher package in the fields of plant agriculture, animal husbandry, and fish farming, and providing them with the necessary support and assistance, as well as facilitating safe technologies that increase food production for beneficiaries, in compliance with the government’s 2023-2026 Plan. The minister commended the partnership between Bahraini investors and the private sector to establish similar projects for the future that would strengthen Bahraini society and produce food of high quality in an environment that is friendly and closed and subject to high standards of control and monitoring. Dr. Al Zayani thanked the minister his backing of the project, which reflects the government’s support of the cooperation between the public and private sectors. She said the company works on providing the local market with fish daily throughout the year, while ensuring high quality and competitive prices.
