Leo, The Association “Sauvons la patrie” provincial section of Sissili, organized this Saturday, in Léo, a march in support of the MPSR.
Leaving from the Natou roundabout, there were around sixty demonstrators, mostly young people, wearing T-shirts bearing the image of President Damiba, pounding the pavement through the various arteries of the city.
On the placards, one could read, “For a prosperous and peaceful Burkina, let us support the MPSR”, “Together against insecurity, corruption and bad governance” or even “For a total security of the national territory, we say yes to the MPSR”.
According to the initiator of the march, Koudous Nignan, it aims to unfailingly and unconditionally support the action of the military in power since Monday, January 24th.
Koudous Nignan explained that the seizure of power by the military restores their confidence because they are convinced that they have all the necessary capacities to liberate the country which has long suffered from the spiral of violence.
Mr. Nignan recalled that since 2015, many Burkinabè people have lost their lives or been forced to leave their villages to become internally displaced because of terrorism.
For the initiator of the march, the military seized power because of the inability of ousted President Roch Kaboré to deal with insecurity and poor governance.
