His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik gave an audience at Albarakah Palace today to Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
His Majesty the Sultan welcomed the guest, valuing WTO’s efforts to streamline global trade and ensure its stability. His Majesty also praised its remarkable role in overcoming the challenges facing the global economy.
The Director General expressed the WTO’s pride in its distinguished relations with Oman. She commended the open trade and investment policies pursued by the Sultanate.
The audience was attended by Dr Hamad Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and Dr Eloi Laourou, Senior Adviser to the WTO Director General.
