Foreign Minister receives Slovak Deputy Prime Minister

Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, received this morning, Štefan Holý, Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic.

During the meeting, they reviewed areas of economic cooperation between the two countries and opportunities for exchanging experiences and for investment diversification in various fields. These included strategic planning for infrastructure, reconstruction, digital transformation and industrialisation employing the latest technical systems and artificial intelligence.

They also discussed Slovakia’s experience in developing programmes to reduce carbon emissions, develop green industries, stimulate innovation and entrepreneurship and to empower the private sector. The meeting also touched on regional and global developments of common interest.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Youssef bin Issa Alzadjali, Head of the Eastern European Department; Lenka Mihalikova, Slovakia’s non-resident Ambassador to Oman and a number of officials from both sides.
