Rabat: FIFA President Gianni Infantino has hailed Morocco’s recent qualification for the 2026 World Cup as an “exceptional performance.” Infantino conveyed his congratulations on his Instagram page, expressing enthusiasm for Morocco’s seventh appearance at the prestigious tournament.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Infantino praised Morocco’s football journey, recalling their remarkable run to the semi-finals in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. He further highlighted the significance of the upcoming 2030 centenary of the FIFA World Cup, when Morocco will host international teams and fans. With excitement, Infantino noted that Moroccan football is at a pivotal moment, celebrating the qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
