FIA: President of Republic highlights State’s constant support for investors

During his visit to the various FIA stands and his talks with economic operators and heads of public and private companies, President Tebboune reaffirmed the commitment of the public authorities to granting every facility to project sponsors, particularly in the mechanical and manufacturing industries and in agriculture, calling for an increase in the national integration rate, given the capacities of the national industrial fabric.

The President of the Republic spent a long time in the Sstand of the private company “VMS industrie,” based in the province of Bejaïa and specializing in the manufacture of cycles, motorbikes (scooters) and tricycles, where he called on the company’s managers to expand their business and diversify their products, underlining the importance of the industrial sector in which it operates.

In the same regard, President Tebboune called for the need to “launch the production of light vehicles to be used as workshops for repairing mechanical breakdowns in cars and by craftsmen, in order to attract young investors.”

The private company is seeking to open, within the next two weeks, a special unit for the manufacture of chassis used in the manufacture of motorbikes, at Oued el Berdi (Bouira), according to the explanations of its managers, who affirmed that the company’s integration rate varies between 25 and 60%.

The military industry also occupied a large part of the exhibition’s stands, which will be spread out over six days.

Companies and enterprises belonging to the Ministry of National Defence will be exhibiting a range of equipment and vehicles manufactured locally, with a high rate of integration, according to the explanations given on the occasion.

The President of the Republic further hailed the progress made by Algeria in the military industry, calling for the promotion of public-private partnerships and an increase in the national industrial integration rate, particularly in the mechanical industry, armoured vehicles, engines, control systems and weapons.

President Tebboune also visited the first Algerian virtual trade fair, which spotlights the achievements of the five strategic sectors on which Algeria is counting to achieve economic development. These are industry, all sectors combined, agriculture, renewable energy, information and communication technologies (ICTs), the knowledge economy and tourism.
