Nice: Equatorial Guinea’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Simeon Oyono Angue, hailed on Monday in Nice the “decisive role” played by Morocco in protecting the African ocean, under His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s leadership. Angue, who took part in the “Africa for the Ocean” summit-organized as part of the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3) and co-chaired by Morocco and France-expressed his heartfelt thanks to the Sovereign for the organization of this summit of “great significance.”
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Angue emphasized the importance of the ocean as a valuable asset for all countries, underscoring Morocco’s crucial role in its protection across the African continent. He highlighted various initiatives launched by Morocco in support of Africa, driven by the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, stating that Morocco exemplifies a true model of South-South cooperation.
In his remarks, Angue expressed his country’s gratitude to Morocco and His Majesty the King for spearheading this initiative, which serves as a concrete example of South-South cooperation benefiting the African continent. He emphasized the shared responsibility to preserve the ocean and the planet for the well-being of current populations and future generations.
The “Africa for the Ocean” summit, co-chaired by HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa, Representative of His Majesty the King, and French President Emmanuel Macron, was part of the third United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3), which continues in Nice through June 13.
