Oran: The documentary film “Memories of Palestine,” which retraces the suffering of the Palestinian people and their resistance against Zionist occupation, was screened Monday as part of the “Palestine Forever” section at the 13th Oran International Arab Film Festival.
According to Algeria Press Service, the 60-minute documentary, written and directed by Serge Le P©ron, utilizes the memoirs of Sirine Husseini Shahid. These memoirs were passed down to her daughter, Palestinian diplomat Lela Shahid, before being published as a book titled “Memories of al-Quds.”
In this Palestinian-French co-production, Lela Shahid, an advocate for the Palestinian cause, reflects on her past and shares her memories with cinema audiences. These memories are an integral part of both her family’s history and that of the Palestinian people.
“Palestine Forever” is a special section included in the festival’s 13th edition to show solidarity with the Palestinian people’s struggle for freedom.
