Annaba: The renowned Algerian director Mohamed Lakhdar-Hamina, who passed away in 2025, was posthumously honored at the 5th edition of the Annaba Mediterranean Film Festival on Saturday night. Lakhdar-Hamina, celebrated for his significant contributions to cinema, was notably awarded the Palm d’Or at the Cannes Festival in 1975 for his film “Chronicles of the Ember Years.”
