Algeria and the EU called on Saturday to unify political and diplomatic pressure to ensure a return of the constitutional system in Niger.
The remarks were made during a phone call received by Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ahmad Attaf from the High Representative of (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-President of the European Commission Josep Borrell.
The two sides, according a statement by the foreign ministry, discussed the latest developments of the situation in Niger, including repercussions on the region.
