Algeria, China seal agreements under chairmanship of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Chinese counterpart

The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and his Chinese counterpart, Xi-Jinping, chaired a ceremony in Beijing on Tuesday at which the two countries signed 19 documents including agreements and memorandums of understanding.

The signing ceremony for these agreements and memorandums of understanding in several sectors took place at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, following talks between President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his Chinese counterpart.

Shortly before, the President of the Republic had held one-to-one talks with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, which were preceded by extended talks with members of both delegations.

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune had arrived in Beijing on Monday as part of a state visit to China, at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart.

The visit is part of a drive to strengthen the solid, deep-rooted relations and economic cooperation between Algeria and the People’s Republic of China.

During his visit, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune is accompanied by a large ministerial delegation, comprising the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, and Finance, Laaziz Faid, as well as the Ministers of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, Post and Telecommunications, Karim Bibi Triki, Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, Ali Aoun, Trade and Export Promotion, Tayeb Zitouni, Housing, Urban Planning and City, Tarek Belaribi, Public Works and Basic Infrastructures, Lakhdar Rekhroukh and Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-enterprises, Yacine El-Mahdi Oualid.
