President Tebboune Emphasizes Algerian Unity and Vigilance Against National Disruption

Algiers: The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, affirmed Wednesday the determination of the united Algerian people to lead the march of the present, remaining vigilant against attempts to disrupt their national project.

According to Algeria Press Service, in a message marking the 65th anniversary of the Demonstrations of December 11, 1960, President Tebboune stated: “A people born from the womb of a rich history, united and forever fused in an Algerian identity, rooted in the land, embracing diversity, and united in faith, a people that stood together on a national front during years of bloody tragedy and in all difficult times, is today more resolute than ever to lead the march of the present, vigilant against attempts to disrupt their national project.”

The President of the Republic pointed out that the experiences of the Algerian people lead them today to “point the compass towards a future for generations who aspire to live in a country that fulfills their hopes, in an Algeria that nurture
s their ambitions, and in a society that celebrates the talents and skills of our daughters and sons.”

This future involves investing their potential in “a dynamic of real shift toward consolidating the foundations and milestones of sustainable development within the country, and affirming its active role and preserved status abroad.”

President Tebboune expressed Algerians’ pride in the authenticity of their glorious revolutionary national heritage, considering it “a source of unity and strength for the people and their unifying reference.”

“From this heritage, the Algerian people, particularly in the current regional and international contexts, derive their ability to discern the threads of cleverly orchestrated wars of interest,” said the President of the Republic, adding that this legacy “gives rise to a national consciousness that recognizes the subtleties of paid propaganda in all its forms and the intentions of those who seek to undermine the State and harm its interests.”

Commemorating the Demonstr
ations of December 11, 1960, President Tebboune recalled the powerful symbolism of that moment, which “embodied in the streets and squares the embrace by the entire people of the call of the November 1, 1954 Declaration and their belief in the achievement of the goals of the Revolution.”

These moments in the course of the Revolution were also a decisive turning point in the external resonance of a Revolution that stopped time, bearing witness to that revolutionary uprising with its lofty principles and noble goals.”

This anniversary and other glorious historic milestones are “an occasion to reflect on the lessons learned from the stages of building an independent nation-state, with its victories and the difficulties it faced in particular circumstances and periods,” the President of the Republic continued.

These difficulties, President Tebboune continued, serve as “a starting point and a catalyst for a proper appreciation of the scale of the efforts that must be spent by everyone, at all levels and in all
positions, to improve the economic and social indicators achieved by the Algerian people since they placed their trust in us. This effort is aimed at “a faster pace and more effective performance in order to join the ranks of countries that aspire to and deserve a position of influence.”

The President of the Republic concluded by saying: “We will inevitably reach our goal soon, fulfilling the mission of the martyrs, whose noble souls we pray for, and we extend our greetings and appreciation to their comrades, our Mujahideen sisters and brothers, on this occasion.”
