Algiers: In a message delivered on his behalf by the Minister of Mujahideen and Rights Holders, Abdelmalek Tacherift, on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, President Tebboune emphasized the ongoing challenges faced by Palestinians. He highlighted the continuous aggression by the Zionist occupation against the Palestinian people, including the destruction of Gaza’s infrastructure, attacks on the healthcare system, and the siege and forced displacement aimed at making life untenable. President Tebboune stressed that these actions would not extinguish the Palestinian state.
According to Algeria Press Service, President Tebboune asserted that despite the sacrifices, the Palestinian people remain resolute in their struggle, carrying a message of freedom and dignity. He noted the growing global solidarity and recognition of the Palestinian cause. Algeria, he reiterated, stands in unwavering support and solidarity with the Palestinian struggle for their inalienable rights, including the right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state along the 1967 borders with al-Quds al-Sharif as its capital.
President Tebboune urged the international community to enforce compliance with international legitimacy, lift the siege on Gaza, and ensure humanitarian aid reaches those in need. He reaffirmed Algeria’s position that granting Palestine full membership in the United Nations is crucial for enshrining the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and statehood.
President Tebboune concluded by affirming Algeria’s commitment to standing by the people of occupied Palestine, pledging to defend their legitimate rights until full sovereignty and an independent state are achieved.
