Algiers: The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, arrived in Algiers for an official visit to Algeria.
According to Algeria Press Service, assigned by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Speaker of the People’s National Assembly (Lower House of Parliament), Brahim Boughali, received the Somali president at Houari Boumediene International Airport. Several cabinet ministers and senior state officials accompanied Boughali during the reception, the Assembly said in a statement.
The visit aims to strengthen the fraternal relations and cooperation between Algeria and the Federal Republic of Somalia. The goal is to elevate these relations to higher levels in line with the deep historical ties binding the two nations and their brotherly peoples.
The visit also reflects the shared commitment of their leaders to expand partnership and consultation on issues of mutual interest, according to the Assembly’s statement.
