Riyadh: The Algerian judo team, comprising both male and female athletes, is set to compete in the 6th edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games (ISG) from 7 to 21 November in Saudi Arabia. The Algerian Judo Federation has announced that the team will be represented by seven athletes.
According to Algeria Press Service, the men’s category will include athletes Driss Messaoud, Hazil Oussama, Lili Mohamed El Mahdi, and Bouamar Mustapha. The women’s category will feature Amina Belkadi, Keddour Houaria, and Khadija Bekhira. The judo events are scheduled for 8, 9, and 10 November at Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Sports City, with 171 judo athletes (97 men and 74 women) from 33 countries participating in the competition.
In addition to judo, Algeria will send a delegation of 114 athletes to compete across 16 different disciplines, as confirmed by the organizers.
