Malabo: Morocco’s CESE President was received in an audience by the President of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, in a meeting that highlighted the strong institutional cooperation between the two nations. The audience was attended by Marcelino Owono Edu, President of Equatorial Guinea’s National Council for Economic and Social Development, along with Morocco’s Ambassador to Malabo, Ghoulam Maichane, and other senior officials from both councils.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Amara, the President of Morocco’s CESE, emphasized the exceptional quality of relations between Morocco and Equatorial Guinea. These relations are based on African solidarity, mutual respect, and a shared vision of addressing the continent’s major development challenges. He reiterated Morocco’s commitment, in line with the Vision of HM King Mohammed VI, to regional integration as a cornerstone of its African cooperation, and the CESE’s dedication to promoting citizen-centered agendas for sustainable development.
President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo acknowledged Morocco’s role as an exemplary model in driving the structural transformation of African economies towards sustainable and inclusive development. He praised the efforts of Morocco’s CESE in strengthening regional integration and expressed support for Equatorial Guinea’s National Council for Economic and Social Development’s accession to UCESA.
The prospects for cooperation between the two institutions were also discussed, focusing on supporting effective public policies to tackle shared challenges such as economic diversification and youth employment.
