Algiers: During a recent meeting, the Council of Ministers approved the draft finance bill for 2026. This session was convened to address a number of significant issues across various sectors. President Tebboune provided directives to the government to establish a transparent financial policy aimed at ensuring sustained investment and its implementation.
According to Algeria Press Service, the President also instructed the government to maintain the major fiscal balances crucial for economic stability. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of preserving social financial transfers. The President advised against introducing new taxes and advocated for creating a tax system that is effective in combating evasion and negative practices without being burdensome.
