‘Roman Carnival’ Sweeps Four of Six Competition Awards

Sétif: The play ‘Roman Carnival’ by Mohamed-Tahar Fergani regional theatre of Constantine emerged as the standout production at the 3rd Arab Theatre Days ‘Chahid Hassan-Belkired’ (1905-1957). Held in Sétif from September 27 to 30, the event celebrated under the theme ‘Sétif, pole of art and artists,’ saw ‘Roman Carnival’ clinching four of the six competition awards.

According to Algeria Press Service, the production’s success underscores the artistic prowess and creativity of the Mohamed-Tahar Fergani regional theatre company. The event, which aims to highlight and foster regional theatrical talent, was a testament to the thriving artistic community in Sétif. Participants and attendees experienced a range of performances, but it was ‘Roman Carnival’ that captured the hearts of the judges and audience alike, securing its place as a remarkable achievement in this year’s event.
